I am looking for an internal antenna for the Navman 5500i plotter. It consists of a small shoe shaped circuit board with a small round disc on top and a box shaped pc board structure with the antenna radials etched on the top box. Unfortunately, the manufacturer will not support their product in the marketplace by selling parts direct for their products, so the search is on! My crew member feels really bad that he stepped on it and broke the antenna. If you have a damaged 5500i that might have the part I am looking for, please let me know. It would make a worthy crew member feel a lot better! PS. If you have any knowledge on converting the internal antenna 5500i to an external antenna, I sure would be interested in hearing about it.
