Several on this list have asked me to keep them abreast of the adventures
on Lake Superior this spring (er, late winter). Well, about 30 hours
after the wind cleared the ice out of this end of Lake Superior, the USCG
heavy-duty icebreaker the Mackinaw arrived on the scene. Ironically, this
end of Lake Superior is for the most part clear of ice today. Oh well.
Still some icebergs floating around, but nothing very serious.
