From Charlie Barnard Jr: 01/17/14 - Stratford -- There was a flock of approximately 40 Fish Crows calling as they circled high over Oronoque Village in northern Stratford just before noon. (Unusually high number.) From Tina Green: 01/17/14 - Norwalk, 14 Acre Pond, on Stonybrook Rd end of pond -- Blue-winged Teal hen and 1st winter male Northern Shoveler continue with other ducks. Snow buntings in the usual parking lots near nature center. From Mike Warner with Lynn & Jeff from the Wallingford/Cheshire area: 01/16/14 - Stratford, Long Beach -- 3:00 PM; Northern Gannet seen sitting on the water preening, then in flight. Also seen were 2 Snowy Owls and a juvenile Iceland Gull.
