Robin Lawson and I visited the De Jongs this afternoon and the immature Summer Tanager put on quite a show.  While he did not sing, he did give us the "picky, tucky, tuck" call at least twice.  He appears at the suet feeder in the backyard every 10 to 15 minutes.

From the 401 in Bowmanville take Liberty St. north past Concesson St. to 3rd Concession Street just outside the town limits and turn right and go east to Lambs Road.  The De Jongs are the first home on the north side of the 3rd just past Lambs Road and Corrie and James are very excited about this rare visitor to Ontario.(telephone # 905 623 9722)  Visitors warmly received.

Regards,
Kevin shackleton
