A short swim anyone? A friend sent me this , Peanut and I are signed up!! They have to have 50 entries by July 15th in order to reserve the park. The entries have to be for the Duathalon and not just the 2 mile walk. I think we will do the swim and then see how far we get on the 5K. My friends did this last year and had a blast! And...not that physically fit... Like me! Maybe a spot we can look at for future water training also..? Hope to see some more Newfies! A bunch of excited dogs in life preservers and people that may or may not be very physically fit "swimming" for 200 meters and then going on a nice 5K (3 mile) walk/jog. If the swim sounds intimidating, you can actually walk because it's about waist to chest high water. You keep your dog on a leash and he/she swims/floats along side you.
