We had 6 boats racing: 3 Spinnaker, 1 Non-Spinnaker, 2 Open, and no Ideal 18. Following some strong thunderstorms, the RC consulted the weather radar and got races started just before 7 p..m. Winds were moderate (5 to 10 kts) from the north. RC posted course 1X (to northern mark - A or B - and back). With shifty and variable winds, all PHRF racers crossed the finish line between 7:45 p.m. and 8:10 p.m.

We had a Spinnaker Division race and an Open Division race (including both Open Fleet members and Non-Spinnaker Cruising Fleet members). However, for purposes of the Cruising Fleet Wednesday Non-Spinnaker Series, there was no race July 31 (even though I looked for some way to count tonight's race for the benefit of Sheba's standing in the series!).

According to our 2019 Scoring Rules:

For a race to count, at least two boats must compete in a division, and at least one boat racing in that division must finish the race. Such races are also referred to as “completed races”.

Since we only had one Non-Spinnaker division starter, the race does not count for the series.

So below are tonight's race results for the two July 31 races, followed by the summary of top competitors in all our season series.
