Just a quick question...
I have noticed that in email signatures people use M/Y and M/V. I am
assuming they stand for Motor yacht and motor vessel. What is the
difference between the two?

Phil: You use "M/Y" if your hired crew spends a lot of time and your money
keeping the boat in first class condition.
You get to use the term "M/V" if you do most of the work yourself and spend
your oun money.
On the radio I use "trawler" to describe our boat because, while I do most
of the work, It's Margaret's money I spend so our boat doesn't meet the
either definition (lG) ..jd
