Looking to upgrade my wifi card to one with antenna. My present card won't
make the trip to the marina office. Any recommendations?

This is the card I use:
It is much higher power than a standard wi-fi card. Standard card is
30mW and this card is 300mW. In addition, you can remove the
integrated antenna and have jacks for connecting to an external
antenna. I bought an external antenna from www.hyperlinktech.com and
mounted it on my hardtop.
I get great reception from up to a couple of miles away. YMMV.

My Proxima Orinoco could not receive my marina's signal. I bought a $42
Buffalo USB antenna and now I get an excellent signal. Placed Mr. Buffalo on
a 16 foot USB cable (the max) and hung it on the clothes line facing the
shore. I close the door on the cable and get excellent reception. It also
has a connector for an external antenna as it only offers 3.4db by itself.
However, 3.4db is all it takes. It is exposed to the weather and has been
dropped numerous times - breaking into all its component parts. It snap
together and keeps on going. The energizer Buffalo. Thank you Jeffrey!
