Hi all,

The Salida Bike Fest is coming soon and SCC has committed to sponsoring a couple of rides over the weekend of Sept 11th-14th. Since Jeff and I are out of town we'll need a little help leading the rides.  We need someone to volunteer to lead both the Thursday and Sunday rides as well as someone to pick up and arrange pastries, fruit, juice, and coffee on Sunday morning.  Please let me know as soon as possible if you can help out.

Below is the description of what we're in charge of for the Bike Fest.

Thanks!

Dana

9:00 a.m.calendar:T1:9:00%20a.m. – BAM ride sponsored by the Salida Cycling Club

The BAM (B ride in the A.M.) is the club’s Thursday morning ride for those of us who like an occasional group ride that’s not race-pace.  We’ll meet at Absolute Bikes at 9:00 a.m.calendar:T1:9:00%20a.m. for a 20-30 mile ride at an average pace of 11-13 mph.  Riders are free to turn back at any time if they wish to do a shorter ride.  This is primarily a road bike ride although riders on mountain bikes are welcome.  We’ll try very hard not to drop anyone and we’ll regroup often.  The ride is open to all and everyone is welcome; come make some new friends!

Sunday, September 14

8:30 a.m.calendar:T1:8:30%20a.m. – The Pastry Ride – A morning ride sponsored by the Salida Cycling Club – Meet at Absolute Bikes

The SCR regular Sunday club ride is called the “Pastry Ride.”  We ride our bikes for a while on Sunday morning and then we eat pastries. We’ll ride around 30 miles; please bring sufficient water and dress for the weather.  The ride will finish back at the plaza of the SteamPlant for pastries, fruit, juice and coffee.
