9/8/2014 - Merlin at 7:30 this morning terrorizing the birdlife at the pond. Very vocal. Alternated between perching on a snag near the middle of the pond and swooping around, chasing the flickers and even a much larger Cooper's Hawk. However, at one point I saw a hummingbird chasing after the Merlin! Also, 1 Great Blue Heron and 1 Green Heron sitting up in the trees as if waiting for the commotion to die down.
