Will the board meeting on May 13 take place at the ALA? I can find announcements about ALA as location for the full membership meeting on May 14, but not for the board meeting. Just wanted to confirm, so I’m not wandering around New Hampshire Avenue alone.

NCL Board Members —

As previously discussed, I’m going to schedule an in-person board meeting for the afternoon of May 13th, before our members event and awards ceremony on Thursday. I’m thinking 1pm-5pm or 2pm-6pm. I realize for board members this might mean an extra hotel night. I hope most of you will be able to make it. We’ll arrange for people unable to be in DC on the 13th to call in.

FYI, I received lovely notes from Sally Waldron on behalf of ANN and also Kavitha Cardoza about being named award recipients. Congressman Roe, Kavitha and a representative from ANN are confirmed to attend. Still working on Mayor Nutter, but I have a backup plan in case he is unable to come down.

Our next phone meeting is scheduled for April 27th at 10:30am – 12:00pm ET

Thanks for your question! Yes, the board meeting is at ALA. It looks like the word about the board meeting has not reached all of us, so I am re-sending the link to register. If you lose track of this e-mail, there is also a link on the homepage of the NCL website that says board members only. Would everyone please take a moment and let us know if you can be there on Wednesday at 2? We can't wait to see you!
