To complement Gary's post earlier today, we recorded Monk sightings
at two locations in Milford on Dec 22 during the Stratford-Milford
Christmas Bird Count.  A flock of 15 seen about 9:00 am from the
Buckingham Ave causeway at Gulf Pond, and another of 26 seen at 11:00
am from the Calf Pen Meadow & School.

I used to visit a friend who owned a house on Melba Street (sold it before Storm Irene!).

They were nesting in the trees on the east end of Melba.

I enjoyed waking up in the morning to the sound of the Monks overhead and walking around on a tin roof.
