BEST WISHES FOR A SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL EVENT...

... to all Gators rolling the dice and crossing the starting and finishing
lines this weekend!

This weekend features 14 of our athletes participating in a signature club
event, an amazing running challenge, and a Pennsylvania-based triathlon and
running event!

First, a workout reminder... We are back to our usual Sunday morning indoor
swim slot at the Spring Valley Y's indoor lap pool; this is an uncoached
group swim.

And here's what is on tap for our weekend events!...

Saturday, September 11:

• Pine Creek Challenge 100 Miler (Wellsboro, PA): Andrew Slysh takes on
what may be the most difficult challenge on our 2021 event calendar... At
6am Saturday morning, Andrew will begin his 100 mile effort on a
challenging course... A bit more about it... The Pine Creek Challenge is
just that, a place to challenge yourself and see how far or how fast you
can run. It will be a scenic trail run along Pine Creek in northern
Pennsylvania. The Pine Creek Rail Trail stretches 63 miles from Wellsboro
Junction to Jersey Shore. The event includes an out and back course that
uses 25 miles of the upper, “Canyon”, section that is through the Grand
Canyon of the East, the Pine Creek Gorge. The Gorge stretches for 47 miles.
It is nearly a mile wide and 1,450 feet deep at its deepest point. This
section of Pine Creek is listed as a National Natural Landmark...  Go
Andrew!

Sunday, September 12:

• Warrington Cares Sprint Triathlon (Warrington, PA): AJ Kruppa will be
racing in this event that includes an outdoor pool 300m swim, a 10 mile
bike, and a 5k run... Go AJ!

• Queen of Prussia 10K (King of Prussia): Amelia Blythe will be running in
the 10K at this event that includes a 5K and multiple kids runs in addition
to the main event 10K... Go Amelia!

• SIGNATURE CLUB EVENT... IRONMAN Atlantic City 70.3 (Atlantic City): We
have 11 Gators participating in this year's event that is directed by club
sponsor DelMo Elite Sports!  Our athletes include four 1st time 70.3
athletes including Paul Kratzinger, Kristen Lourie, Deb Rocco, and Beth
Wysoczanski!  Additional Gators racing include Holly Beauchamp (looking
forward to running in more sand), Angela Epelbaum (fingers crossed for your
back), Keith Ho (featuring a nifty watch band courtesy of Kerri and Jason
Brannen) , Sean Lodge (back at it after IM Texas 70.3 and IM Lake Placid),
David Stone (getting a jump start on his prep for IM Lake Placid 2022),
Jens Sydor (continuing his tour of our club sponsor events that also
included the NJ State Tri and the Steelman Tri), and Chris Townsley
(putting a bow on an amazing year).  We also have at least two volunteers
with Paul Kratzinger (of course our current Gator of the Month is doing
double duty!) and Don Mack (see you at the swim start!) plus Logan Washburn
will be there to support and our tent and flags will be set up to let
everyone know that the Gators are in the house!  Go Gators!

Have a great weekend!
