Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes
View all threadsAlex --
We have photos that include most of the Loop (and a goodly bit more) on
our website Halcyon Days at: www.geocities.com/bill_fiero (that's
bill_fiero). Our stories are not anchorage or marina guidebooks -- there
are others who do a good job writing the details that are important to a
boater doing the loop. Our tales are 'about' a place -- with the idea of
giving the reader an impression of what it is like to cruise, and in
particular, the feelings a certain cruising area may impart to the
boater. Also, being a geologist, we sometimes discuss the geology of a
cruising area. You might find the website useful to give friends or
family the 'why we are going to do it' explanation. el and bill on

Bill,
An amazing site. Can't wait to read it all. We're from Portland too, the
new owner of a 25' cruiser. One burning question. Why a '22 foot C-Dory
instead of a '25? Isn't the 25 footer friendlier in terms of creature
comforts?
