04/01/14 - East Hartford, Rentschler Field -- EASTERN MEADOWLARK.

04/01/14 - Westport, Sherwood Island SP -- American Pipit in the
circle after entrance.

From Patrick Dugan:
04/01/14 - Stamford, Shippan Pt -- 11,400 Scaup. The largest group off
Stamford Ave 7,300.

From Nick Hawvermale with Tom Hook and Mike Warner:
04/01/14 - Morris, Anderson Road -- Chukar (in the area where the
shrike was seen yesterday).

04/01/14 - Burlington -- afternoon; several male Brown Creepers
singing along Clear Brook Road, near the intersection with Mill Dam
Road.

04/01/14 - Enfield, yard -- Fox Sparrow at my feeder area again.

04/01/14 - Stratford, Long Beach -- Pectoral Sandpiper and a flock of
about 17 Snow Buntings. The buntings tie my late date. Have not seen
any in April since 1977!

04/01/14 - Stratford, Long Beach -- Snowy Owl.  Flock of 16 Snow
Buntings; one female totally inbreeding plumage except bill still
orange, others from 30-75% in breeding plumage.

04/01/14 - Farmington, Farmington Meadows -- 10 SNOW GEESE continue. 8
adults and 2 subadults. All white morph.  Lots of water in the fields,
accommodating the large flock of geese plus plenty of ducks in the
water away off towards the woods line, including 1 NORTHERN SHOVELER
(f), a pair of NORTHERN PINTAIL (m,f). There was no sign of the Tundra
Swans  this morning, or at 6pm last night, just ten minutes after the
most recent report.

04/01/14 - South Glastonbury, Great Pond -- 2 American Woodcock, both
peenting and one displaying.

04/01/14 - Southport, Southport Beach -- Black- headed Gull.

AMERICAN WOODCOCK calling and displaying.
