The University of Georgia History Department invites applications for a
one-year visiting professorship in East Asian history, from August 2011
to May 2012. This sabbatical replacement entails teaching 2/2 courses,
including survey and upper division undergraduate courses in both
classical and modern history. Candidates must have a PhD at the time of
appointment and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and
research. The salary is $40,000, and we invite applications from
post-doctoral fellows or faculty on sabbatical from their host
institutions. Please send a letter of application, c.v. and one letter
