Join us in welcoming Chicago poet and visual artist Krista Franklin for a
workshop at University of Puget Sound (Wyatt 109) at 7 pm on April 14. Her
work explores the intersection of “poetics, popular culture, and the
dynamic histories of people of color," using collage, hand papermaking,
installation, poetry, letterpress, altered bookmaking and performance.
Take a look at Krista's website, www.kristafranklin.com, for images and
links to publications. Also, check out Krista's poem "Manifesto, or Ars
Poetica #2" on the Poetry Foundation website here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbAuPl-XvuI (she begins at 6:00).
Please get in touch with Michael Haeflinger at mhaeflinger@pugetsound.edu with
questions. This is an all-ages event and we encourage students from local
schools to attend.
