While we know that sometimes there are good reasons to delay submission of your lists and to keep them on the phone, this may cause issues with the taxonomic update if the list does not get submitted first. It is only a handful of (fairly rarely reported) taxa that might cause this, but the best way to avoid instability is to make sure all your checklists on your phone show the blue "accepted" indicating that the lists have been submitted to your eBird account. *Please remember: *eBird Mobile and BirdLog are ways to submit to eBird; eBird is the ultimate repository! Your lists are not part of eBird and not permanently archived until they say "Accepted" in blue. It is a good idea to periodically make sure all the lists have been submitted (green "Not Submitted" and gray messages (e.g., "Submitted") should be cleared if possible.
