from Rt 146.

From Russ Smiley:
08/23/14 - Guilford, Leete's Marsh -- Wilson's Phalarope still there
at 3:20.

From John Marshall:
08/23/14 - Old Lyme, Hawk's Nest Beach Marsh -- 1 WHITE IBIS.

From Lisa Gagnon:
08/23/14 - Stafford Springs -- 8 Common Nighthawks came over at about
5 PM.

From Jack and Maggie Peretto via Jake Musser:
08/23/14 - Guildford, West Woods trailhead -- Prothonotary Warbler.
This location is just down the road from the shell beach marsh where
the phalarope has been.  From the marsh head east on 146, turn left at
the stop sign and go under the railroad tracks (you are still on 146
at this point).  Immediately after going under the railroad tracks
turn left on Sam Hill road and immediately turn left into the parking
area for the west woods trail complex.  The bird is 4 ft from the
parking area immediately to your left in a low sunken muddy area.  It
is not shy.

From John Weeks:
08/23/14 - Granby -- At 5:30 PM this evening, hundreds of Common
Nighthawks were streaming south for over a mile along Rt 10 in the
center of town.  There were easily 500 of them overhead, and the real
total could have been as high as a thousand.

From Robert Dixon:
08/23/14 - Sterling yard -- YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO in the yard after
daybreak.
