NECWA All Day Marine Adventure Cruises
Seabird & Whale Tale’s Excursion

New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance - NECWA and OceanQuest Hands-On Marine
Education are hosting an all day excursion to benefit non-profit marine
education!

  • Sunday, June 8, 2008

Join wildlife experts such as David Clapp, of Natural History Services,
Wayne Petersen of Massachusetts Audubon Society, and Dr. John Jahoda, from
Bridgewater State College, as they head offshore to view seabirds, whales,
seals, and large coastal pelagic fish like basking sharks that are found in
the waters off Cape Cod.

Leave from historic Plymouth Harbor aboard the “Tails of the Sea”, a 110’
luxury commercial whale watching vessel owned and operated by Captain John
Boats. Meet at the Town Pier in Plymouth Harbor at 7:30 A.M. to check in.
Cruise leaves at 8 a.m. and returns by 6 p.m. that evening. Bring your own
food and drink (but please no alcohol or any items in glass containers) or
purchase a variety of hot and cold “home-made” foods from the galley and all
proceeds support our non-profit marine education organizations.

Offshore Activities Include:
• Chumming for seabirds
• Plankton collection using a plankton net and examination using
onboard microscopes
• Free onboard raffle where you could win a nature gift including
field guides, wildlife DVDs and CDs, bird feeders, hand-made fish-print
sweatshirts, NEBShark clothing and more.
Please contribute to the “Green cause!” If you would like to recycle
something or have something that is new or gently used that you would like
to donate to the raffle event, bring it with you the day of sailing and we
will add it to our collection.
THIS WAS A LOT OF FUN AND VERY SUCCESSFUL AND EXCITING LAST YEAR

Please email Christina@oceanquest.org or KrillCarson@mac.com if you or your
organization would like to donate items that could be used for the galley
(food, travel mugs, etc.) or the onboard raffle (any nature-related item).
