graphics card speed in openSCAD

Hi, i have noticed that sometimes my graphics card it going at 2 FPS when
displaying an assembly of 500 cubes inside 2-3 unions-differences. My
graphics card can display 16trillion vertices per nanosecond and and has
liquid nitrogen heatsink assembly. What is the speed because? Is the program
sending a giant raft of data to the graphics card on every frame? What is
the bottleneck due to? what are the codes in openscad that communicate with
the graphics card? is it DX or GL based?

Please tell me where are the library functions that regulate the graphics
card vertices and array inputs? Is the entire coordinate system sent to the
graphics card and rotated? where is the camera object in the openscad code?
is it moving around the object?

Hi Torsten,

Did you get the OP as an email from the list? As I didn't, nor any of his
other posts, so something is off.
If you did get an email could you forward it to me so I can check out its
headers etc.

Thanks,
Michael

All of ufomorace's emails go into my spam folder, despite me continually
marking them as not spam. Google doesn't like his email address.

Yep, I did. Maybe Nabble ended up on some block list that GMX
does not use or something?

Mail with full headers out as direct mail...

ciao,

Uh, wait, it's not Nabble it's received from.

The path for the forum post is

  1. Original Post nabble.com (forum)
  2. Mail server nabble.com
  3. emwd.com (mailing list)
  4. Receiver (gmx.de in my case)

Just using the mailing list it's different as Nabble
is not in the path, only emwd.com.

ciao,
Torsten.

Have you checked your spam folder? I get all of his emails, so they get
sent OK from the mailing list. I just have to dig them out of my spam.

Yeh, as Nophead said, they were in my gmail spam folder. Trouble is I have that account forwarded,
so I don't see the spam unless I go looking.

It said that his yahoo address did not pass the yahoo checks (called from gmail).

ufomorace - you may want to check you yahoo mail account.

Lots of people on the mailing list use gmail and your posts get sent to spam.

Hi there, Thanks Torsten i'll have to learn some new graphics concepts. it is
a very complex renderer.

For my email, here is what happened. I subscribed 4 months ago to as a
single question and i wasn't familiar with the software. I took the
individual messaging by mistake and i recieved 50 emails that were about
development that i didn't grasp. I thought it would be ok to put the mail to
the spam folder for the time being until i could find the unsub buttons, and
the mail at the time was fine on subscription. I figured out the program and
had to be on the list again and i subbed again except that my email isnt
recognized.

Sorry about that. It's difficult to keep things tidy on the  pc. :\
