Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes

Glad you have enjoyed the website. And, you hit the nail on the head.
Nuts-and-bolts cruising stories serve a very useful purpose for cruisers --
we even consider them essential background for our cruising -- but, since
there are many good 'guides,' we thought it might be more useful with our
website to try to give an essence of the place, through words and pictures
-- an appreciation of uniqueness, a little of our geologic knowledge shared,
and some tales that hopefully capture the sheer joy of living aboard and
cruising.
Thanks for taking the time to share your feelings about the site.
El? Well, if you want to see a quiet, joyful, competent, bedrock New
England lass get her dander up, watch her when a macho dude off a giant
Sportfish asks me, "How did you get THE WIFE to go cruising?" BOOOM!!
El grew up sailing, from before she could walk, on Dyer Dinks on Long
Island Sound. She taught me to sail (co-incidently, she is a good teacher
-- since I coached a Prep School to the New England sailing championship
after learning the good stuff from her) -- and it was her idea to live
aboard a cruising boat, not mine.
Does she have a sister? Yes, but not a cruising sister. El is a
One-Of-a-Kind, I'm afraid. But, there are many crusing gals out there, each
a unique star in their own way.
