I have four ancient Cruiseair split air conditioner systems on Microship.
Well, three actually, as the condenser unit on one has been out since May of
last year (gotta get that replaced). The old rotary knob controls are
starting to get flaky. Sometimes the compressors never shut off or, when
adjusting the thermostat, it goes straight from cool to heat. The fan
controls are wonky, too. So I was thinking of replacing the controls with
one of the new digital models. I think I read somewhere the SMX controls
will work. Just thought I would ask for some input from anyone who has
already done this. Difficulty? Cost? Best source for the controls?
