Sun, Apr 27, 2003 4:09 PM

Hello All,

A Cattle Egret was late yesterday and again this morning at the corner of
concession 12 (the Noble) & county road 20.

A Clay-colored Sparrow has been present on the west beach trail just south
of the transit loop since yesterday evening.  It was still being seen by
many observers as of 10:00.

A small wave of migrants was moving north up the west beach yesterday
evening.  These included:

Winter Wren, Swamp, Field, Song, Savannah, and White-throated Sparrows,
Dark-eyed Junco, Hermit Thrush, Yellow-rumped, Pine, Palm, Nashville,
Black-and-White, and Orange-crowned Warblers, and White-eyed Vireo.

Small numbers of migrants are present in the park again today, although
there was no major influx overnight.

Other birds being seen in the park include Surf and White-winged Scoter,
Common Loon, and Sandhill Crane.
Thousands of Lesser Scaup are present off both sides of the point.

Good Birding,

John Haselmayer, Karl Konze, Dave Martin, Pete Read, Alan Wormington
