04/27/11 - Southbury, Bent of the River Audubon Sanctuary -- a perfect
Golden-winged Warbler song singing from across the river in the early
successional fields just south and across the river from the red barn,
first found by Ken Elkins). The are where the song originated is out
of bounds and unreachable. It isn't uncommon to hear Blue-wings
singing Golden-winged songs, particularly at the Bent, but this one is
spot on for a GwWa. Worth keeping an ear and eye out for if any of
you are visiting the Bent. Unfortunately, no one has gotten bins on
it yet.
