Lead, lots of it. My old boat has lead lined fiberglass insulation in all the engine room areas and the floor of the salon. It has 4/53 detroits. They are not objectional at cruise speed in the salon, on top of the engines. Seems like it is better for the material to absorb the noise than isolote it. YMMV
