Dear Colleagues, The T’ang Studies Society has begun a series of what it intends to be yearly travel and research grants to support research on Tang China. For this year, there are two categories of grants: 1. Travel: Three grants of $300 for travel between October 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014 to support the presentation of papers on Tang Dynasty topics (Applications due September 2, 2014) 2. Research a. Graduate Student Research Grant: one grant of $2,500 (Applications due September 1, 2014) b. Project Initiation Grant: two grants of $1,500 (Applications due September 1, 2014) c. Research Grant: two grants of $1,500 (Applications due September 1, 2014) (For details on the criteria and application procedure, please see the attached announcements.) Some of you work in the Tang, and I hope you will consider applying.
