I am in the process of researching various Dinghies with the expectation of
purchasing a new one in the very near future, most likely a RIB in the 11'
range.  As I intend to make use of the already existing Dinghy crane located
atop the sundeck, I am wondering if there is any known commercial source for
the chocks that the dinghy needs to rest in or must these be custom
fabricated?

Jim & Others
Weaver Makes stand alone chocks they seem to work real good. We chose to
have a custom cradle made it seem to suport the dinghy better, long rails
under the hole bottom rather than four pads . We went with a Crabie C-12
with a 25hp Honda 4 stroke

Take a look at the Weaver Snap Davit people:  www. weaverindustries.com

They make a very nice chock in a large variety of sizes and configurations.
Very accomodating to deal with.

My inverter is acting kind of funny. I havent used it
before or even had it hooked up before. After I hooked
it up, it started turning itself on and off. It has a
remote swith that I connected and tested from. But
soon after I confirmed it was working, it started
turning on and off at random. I had thought the swithc
wires were probably touching when the boat moved or
something silly. However, someone on the dock said
that better quality inverters behave this way when the
batteries are low. Is this accurate? Has anyone else
out there expereienced this?
