All hands--

The Nordhavn 57 Bagan is one of seven yachts attempting to transit
the Northwest Passage this summer.

Bagan and the purpose-built Polar Bound are the only powerboats; the
other five are sailboats, some with good-size engines.

Bagan has been stuck in Halifax for several days, beset with computer
problems, but Sprague Theobald, the owner, says they could be getting
under way soon. Here's Bagan's blog:

For those who only desire an overview of the Arctic adventure, Blake
August, Circumnavigator magazine contributing editor, promises to
keep track of all seven yachts in one thread at TrawlerCrawler.net:

In his first post, he lists URLs for all blogs maintained by participants.
