Internal is to the SDRs on-board TCXO, while external pulls the clock from
the external clock in port on the rear of the device. Unless I am mistaken,
to use the GPSDO, you must set the clock source and time source to gpsdo.
Thats the way it works on the N310, at least, so I suspect its similar for
the X310.

Im using USRPs X310 with integrated GPSDO. My goal is to compare the
quality of different types of local oscillators but Im confused with the
clock reference source parameter.
When the clock reference source is specified as internal will my reference
be the internal TCXO or the GPSDO? Similarly, when the clock source is
specified as external which of these two clocks will be the reference?
