Hey George,
Speaking of buckets, I picked up a free "pickle bucket" from the local
hamburger store with a snap on lid. That along with a red toilet plunger
made a great washing machine. A quick wash in salt water and Joy
detergent, a rinse in fresh water and a step back to "grandma's" clothes
dryer, good ole fresh air and we were ready for a trip to the dockside
pub. All of the above can be operated with one eye and without a tech
manual.

In the Caribbean, and other high humidity places, you can hang stuff in
the fresh air till your ears drop off and they will never dry.
