As a contrasting note re: Emerald Harbor in Seattle.

Our headquarters is in Seattle (Cruising Cats USA imports catamarans, power and sail, from 40' to 70' feet -- from Europe, New Zealand, and Thailand/China). I've hired Emerald Harbor to do the full commissioning on many catamaran yachts, up to 60', and they have provided excellent service, from small jobs, to major heating and power installations. Better yet, in the few instances when there was follow-up work to do, they even travelled as far north as Port Townsend (at no extra cost), to make final minor adjustments, etc.

I suspect that every yard (as with every boat dealer...grin) has times when things don't go perfectly. But Emerald Harbor is my favorite commissioning/repair company here in Seattle. (And nope, they don't even know I'm writing this.)
