Please clarify for those of us on the west coast, where do you hook on to
the Tom Tom (coming down river) and where does it let out. I thought it was a
dead -end like the Missouri.
BD,
The Tenn-Tom is not a dead end.
Going down stream you get in the Tenn river in Kentucky , it is flowing
North at this pt and go up stream until you meet the Tenn-Tom waterway at
Pickwick lake that is formed by a dam. You may then continue on the Tenn up
to its headwaters above Knoxville at the confluence of the F----- Broad (
cant say french anymore) river and the Holsten River. This is the turn
around point on the Tenn as the depth drops to abt 3-4 ft. ( the SEARAY
factory is rt there) OR turn South into the Tenn-Tom waterway and go all the
way to the Gulf of Mexico through Mobile Bay. The ICW crosses the Mobile Bay
at he Gulf so you can turn rt and go to Texas and Mexico or left and go to
Fla and New York/ Canada. Bingo THE GREAT CIRCLE !!!
