Hi All,
An easy and cheap jury rig to keep on board to solve leaking or broken high
pressure injection lines is a polyethylene tubing of same id as your regular
line. The tubing is then fitted with quick fit compression connections of
identical dimensions and threads as your normal lines. The tubing is sold by
the foot, usually comes in an easy to store coil.
I purchased mine for a Perkins 4-236 from my local Perkins dealer and he
said he could match up units for most diesel high pressure lines. The tubing
cuts easily and will bend to most configurations. Quick and easy!

Always reinstall the bracket that connects the injector lines

together when you replace them.  The mechanic that taught the  diesel
class I took emphasized the importance of this.  The fuel lines
actually flex with the changes in fuel pressure.  The connecting
bracket changes the natural frequency of the line and dampens the
flexing.  Left unchecked this flexing can fatigue the line until it
breaks.
I like the suggestion of the poly tubing as a jury rig.  I'll
see if I can find a local source.
