Discussion and technical support related to USRP, UHD, RFNoC
View all threadsHas anyone had success with a 10GbE NIC other than the recommended Intel X520 card for the USRP-2944/X310?
And, does the USRP require 2xSFP+ for 200Ms/s RX capture, or is 1x SFP+ sufficient? I only need to rx on one mboard (UBX160) but at the max sample rate.
Thanks,

I have used 10GbE on an X550-T2 and X720-D2 – still intel NICs
With the X720-D2 I was able to connect to the X310 using fibre SFP+ modules at 10Gbps.
A single 10GbE link is sufficient for one 200MSPS receive channel – your host processor needs to be able to utilise pretty much the entire bandwidth of the link though. Not always true.
