I had a nice time on South by West, the Nordhavn 55 anchored behind me.  They are Americans of French origin.  He was in Vietnam as a boy before Dien Bien Fu and she grew up in Algeria.  They also have an American couple on board as guests.  We had a couple of drinks and then a lively world political discussion.  It was fun and great to get their insights and perspective.  Their new 55 is a palace compaired to Jenny.  Weighing in at 130,000 lbs, it is enormous with a basement, two stories of indoor living and a fly bridge on the third.  You can get a nose bleed on the flybridge.  I was fortunate to meet them and get invited over.

This is a nice anchorage.  The water is clear and relatively deep close to the beach.  So, you can snuggle up and have calm water.  The beach is virgin and a great place for Nicholas to have his morning and even runs.  He is a happy boy.

It got a little crowded here in the last 18 hours.  First South by West pulled in behind us,  Then a mega yacht Elisa anchored to on our port side and this morning an even bigger mega yacht Vava anchored off our port stern.  It must be 200 ft long.  The chart shows three rock patches in this area, two of which are clearly visible.  The third is supposed to be behind me somewhere, but I could not find it with the dinghy.  I did spot what might be it right off the bow of Elisa, but it should be more like under Vava.  Maybe it is a chart error... I expect the sailboat Villomee to arrive today too and there are a couple of other sailboats here.  Villomee is a nice couple and good to chat with.  But, this seems to be the home of powerboats of all flavors.

I think I will clean windows today and try to get rid of some rust spots.  Then do some routine maintence.  Tomorrow I'll break out the sandpaper and start on some more windows.
