Westport- there must have been movement because the oaks in my yard
are alive with Birds!
Blackburnian, Tennessee, spatulas, BRGreens, Cape May, Blackpoll, REVireo, Orioles, and many singing. Still searching!

Interesting Tina, because the radar at Cornell’s BirdCast shows virtually no migration activity in Connecticut last night.

Yes, there must have been a movement last night, but OUT - I just did the annual Sunny Valley Preserve count and it was dismal.  Only 5 warblers: blue-winged, yellow, prairie, ovenbird and yellowthroat.  Missing were tree swallows (and only 4 barn swallows - this is a farm!), any flycatchers (even phoebe), hummingbird, veery, tanager, orchard oriole (which nest here).  There was a very strong wind, but even the woods were silent.  My yard is better - but the bear came last night and demolished a pole even though I'd taken the feeders down for the night!  Locals miffed!

There was tremendous movement of spatulas this morning as youngsters all over Connecticut were trying to make pancakes for their mothers.

For those that were wondering about the “spatulas”  in my oak trees this morning, I hope you got a good chuckle as I did when I discovered that “spell check” switched “Parulas” to a kitchen tool. From now on I’m going with Northern Spatulas!
