an easy, cheap shuttle ride to Tampa Int'l airport.

You may want to try Palm Island Marina right on the ICW in Cape Haze - about
1/2 hour North of the Boca Grand swing bridge. There is ferry service over
to Palm Island which is a fun place to go. There is also Tweenwaters on
Captiva Island - another great place to go. Not sure about Punta Gorda
itself other than the Pier there but it is way up Charlotte Harbor. There
are shops and restaurants and a quick bike ride to the little downtown area
which is still recovering from Hurricane Charley. In Fort Myers there a a
couple of marinas out on the beach and then up the Caloosahatchee you have
the City Marina in downtown (good location) and Gulf Harbor which is further
West and part of a community. Good Luck!
