10/10/14 - New Haven. Lighthouse Point Park, hawk watch -- 1 adult
REDHEADED WOODPECKER. 8 PINE SISKINS, 3 DICKCISSELS, 87 Purple
Finches, 2 AMERICAN PIPITS, 2 COMMON NIGHTHAWKS.

10/10/14 - Milford, Mondo Ponds -- Eurasian Wigeon continues in 2nd
pond.

10/10/14 - Madison, Bauer Park -- 4 PURPLE FINCHES, LINCOLN'S SPARROW.

10/10/14 - Windsor, Northwest Park -- 3 Common Ravens, Tennessee
Warbler.

10/10/14 - Stratford, Beacon Pt Rd, Town Greenway -- lots of birds
including DICKCISSEL, first spotted by Tom, and COMMON RAVEN.
Stratford Community Garden (Connors Ln) -- 1 Purple Finch.

10/10/14 - New Milford yard -- 2 male Purple finches together at the
feeder, identical, soft raspberry, but one had buffy brown flank
streaks which continued aft to its vent.  2nd year male not completed
its transformation - or possibly a western bird?

10/10/14 - Naugatuck, Hop Brook Lake -- 2 Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers; 6
species of warblers including Wilson's Warbler, 1 Lincoln's Sparrow; a

feeder.

10/10/14 - Mystic, yard -- COMMON NIGHTHAWK.  A late date for the yard
by quite a bit.

Headed Woodpecker flew over giving us a good look at about 10:30 AM.
Madison, Hammonasett State Park -- 2 American Pipits and one Eastern
Meadowlark in field across from Swan Pond.
Still lots of Purple finches in Yard in
Colchester, yard -- Still lots of Purple Finches, Male and female.

10/10/14 - Sterling yard -- SWAINSON'S THRUSH (2) heard before
daybreak, PURPLE FINCH (6), YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER (5) all in the
same tree, PINE SISKIN (40) swirling around yard and feeders then
landing in choke cherry before flying off.
