Hello Gators,
See below regarding the Spring Valley YMCA Masters Swim-A-Thon event.  It
would be great if we can have a few Tri Club Gators join the Masters Swim
Gators during the 7:45am-10:15am timeframe.  This is the same time as our
Steelman Tri course preview, so I will not be able to make it.  I do still
plan to make a donation.  If any of you are also unable to attend but
interested in contributing, you can do so online using the QR code in the
attached pledge form.

Subject: SATURDAY JULY 29th Swim-A-Thon 7:45am Outdoor Pool!!

Calling ALL Swimmers!

On Saturday July 29th, the SVY Aquatics Department is hosting our 2nd
Annual Swim-A-Thon to benefit the Spring Valley YMCA Annual Campaign!
This event will be held at the Outdoor Lap Pool from 7:45AM to 10:15AM.
There will be no formal Masters practice this Saturday morning so pair up
with friends and family swimmers, grab a lane, and swim at your pace!

WHERE AND WHEN IS THIS EVENT?  Outdoor LAP Pool.....no other pool will
be open for swimming
, only the LAP Pool lanes.  Saturday July 29th, 7:45AM
to 10:15AM.

WHO IS THIS EVENT OPEN TO?  This event is open to ALL Masters and Tri
Club Swimmers AND their swimming family members
.  Get your swimming
family involved and have them help raise donations and swim for a great
cause!  ,

WHAT IS THE YMCA ANNUAL CAMPAIGN?  *The YCMA Annual Campaign is a
fundraising initiative for our Financial Assistance Program. * This program
makes the Y available to people who cannot afford the cost of program and
membership fees.  By removing financial barriers, we are making it possible
for children, families, seniors, neighbors and others to benefit from Y
programs and memberships regardless of their financial circumstances.  The
YMCA is a non-profit organization with 100% of Annual Campaign
contributions going back into the community.

Combined, we represent nearly 100 swimmers who regularly use and
benefit from the Spring Valley YMCA facility.  We know how important it is
to learn to swim, to exercise, and to share our space and time with
others.  By supporting this Swim-A-Thon event, you are also showing your
appreciation for our Aquatics Department staff and their efforts to support
our various lap swimming practices and activities all year long!  If you
are unable to attend the Swim-A-Thon, you can still donate!  Every little
bit helps!

The goal for our campaign is $1,500 and I know with a little support from
everyone we can be successful again this year!

Pledge form attached you can bring or fill in as needed on Saturday.  If
you have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out and ask.

Please share with our extended Y family and others where I may not have
their emails included on this!

We will again have bagels, OJ, and water for you to snack on after so stick
around and cheer those still swimming on!  Our last few swims have been
3800/3900 meters which converts to the 2.4 Iron Man swim.  Push past that
and hit 3 miles at 4800 meters or how about a 5k!

Not up for distance?  Be creative and come up with a challenge!  1,000
meters of butterfly anyone!

See ya Saturday!

Thank you for your participation with the Spring Valley YMCA Masters Swim
Team.  Should you wish to unsubscribe from the team distribution list,
please respond to svygators@gmail.com with your desire to be removed.
