Good afternoon,

The following message is from the Region 13 Educator Certification Program in regards to a summer course opportunity for regional LOTE teachers:

Dear teachers,

Please, find attached the information about the summer courses and Master programs in Spain managed by the Office of Education of the Embassy of Spain, with the collaboration of some of the most prestigious Spanish universities.  These courses are aimed at teachers of Spanish (or bilingual education) at K-12 and Community College levels, as well as administrators in the United States and Canada.

Remember that the application period is open until February 28th!. Placements after February 28 will be assigned upon vacancies.

This year, and for the first time, three of the participants will receive a free round trip ticket to fly to Spain!

My principal is wondering in what grade level do you teach Spanish Language AP?  Is it to 10th, 11th or 12th?

I think it really depends on your demographics. I have sophomores, juniors
and seniors in my AP class. Our track - for students we know speak Spanish

  • is Spanish for Natives, AP Language and then AP Spanish Lit. For
    non-natives AP Spanish Lang. is Spanish 4, and AP Spanish Lit is Spanish 5.
