I just thought we all could use something else to
think about.

Recently I have been noticing that when I want to
check my email it seems to take forever. I mean
like I found out the different parts of the
process. First it says "Connecting". That used to
flash by so fast I didn't even know it existed.
Then it says"Authorizing". Same comment as before.
Then "Checking Mail". Same thing, ever seen your
Outlook Express actually display this long enough
to read it? Then "Receiving Messages".
Now it takes about a minute to download each
individual spam message. Then it does all the same
things for my other email address.

The point of all this is that I have DSL!
Apparently AT&T and Yahoo have updated their
website servers so my Windows 98SE and Outlook
Express 6 are no longer "Compatible" with the
system. I called AT&T and that is what their web
support person told me.

Now I have ordered Windows XP Home (sob, moan,
mumble, groan). Another hundred bucks shot to
h_ll.

I always said I would never upgrade to XP until I
was forced to. Now I have been...
:-(  :-(
