Dear TWL Members,

RED HERRING is my recently released nautical mystery set in the San Juan
and Canadian Gulf Islands of the Pacific Northwest.
It's a story about courage and integrity overcoming fear, which opens
with a Grand Banks 36 heading toward an oil refinery in the Strait of
Georgia. A Coast Guard patrol discovers the unmanned vessel operating
under autopilot. Explosives are found aboard, along with a note
threatening the construction of a pipeline beneath an environmentally
sensitive body of water. Fear of terrorism erupts. Charlie Noble, who
lives aboard a classic 60s-era Willard, agrees to search for the man most
believe is behind the bomb plot. But Noble steps into a dangerous,
puzzling web of intrigue involving corporate greed, Homeland Security,
and murder. With personal courage, gritty determination and
uncompromising honor, he unravels the truth.

RED HERRING set a record for sale sof fiction at the Seattle Boat Show in
January. It was featured on NPR is February, and was the #1 bestseller at
the Seattle Mystery Bookshop in March. The book's also been featured in
Passagemaker Magazine.

Boaters, especially trawler owners have really enjoyed yhis book, written
by another longtime boater who understands what makes them get out on the
water.
