Visitors:
Quite a few visitors today with many being there for the first time. At
least they got some birds to look at! A big thanks to Tom B, Ken and Zhen
and Phil for helping with todays count.
Weather:
Winds were very light from the NE to start the day before dying out
completely in hour three and then more light winds from the NE before
backing all the way around to WSW and finally SW. Temps remain very warm
from 12C to a high of 24C. Little cloud cover to start the day and then
clouds built in around noon through to the end of the count period.
Raptor Observations:
A very similar flight to yesterday with a total of 570 birds tallied. The
bulk were TVs with decent numbers of Sharpies and Am Kestrels and a
smattering of other species including another Peregrine. There were 10
different species counted today.
Non-raptor Observations:
None reported.
Predictions:
Almost an instant replay for the weather on Monday and even warmer so
likely a similar flight to today (at best).
