Seeking information about FE-5619A

Hi,

I was recently offered an FE-5619A. I haven't been able to find any
information about this unit and was hoping someone in this group might
be familiar with it. It's labelled as a "Redundant Standard Frequency
Oscillator" and is apparently a rubidium oscillator. I don't have the
unit in my possession and therefore can't do any investigation/testing
of it. I just have a picture of the front panel (attached). I can ask
for a picture of the back panel but I don't expect I can get more
information than that.

Does anyone have any information about this?

Thanks
Matt

Matt good pix. As a pure guess you may find there are two RB's in the unit.
Or a RB and a OCXO in case the RB fails. It sort of looks like the old
telco references. Though has nice 5 MHz out. Its a FE unit so those were
nice.
Good luck to you.

Hi

Like Paul, going only from the picture, I’d bet it’s a double redundant
rack mount Rb. It’s not clear from the front if there is any switching
in the unit. The Rb’s could be just about any of the wide variety that
FE has produced over the years.

Is what’s in the box functional? who knows. Is it repairable? who knows …
Are there any doc’s out in the wild on that box? maybe, but it’s unlikely.
