Screamin, Stinkin Wind

If you want to watch a very intense storm, tonight is the night. The
Oregon/Washington coast is expecting a real doozy after midnight
local time. Winds are expected up to 90 mph. The swell is expected to
reach 40 feet.
I would stay around and give some analysis, but I intend to "beard
the lion in his den". Which is to say, that I intend to be in the
thick of things and am headed for the coast as soon as local rush
hour traffic lays down. I will be around Astoria, near the mouth of
the Columbia River, and may pass stuff to Scott Bulger, if the cell
phones don't die. The storm is not expected to die out before
tomorrow afternoon. The barometer is presently dropping at about 0.13
inches an hour.

The buoy reports for the coast would be a good place to start, as
well as FNMOC and don't forget to look at the satellite wind
condition pictures.
