THIS WEEK IN TRI CLUB (December 27-January 2), GFC WEEK 12 ROLL CALL, and
It's "5 minute Plank Week"!
Another amazing year has almost come to an end... Some additional craziness
and a few steps backwards along the way, but as a team we accomplished A
LOT this year providing lots of motivation to do even better next year!
And to wrap up 2021, this Friday we are including a Facebook Live
opportunity for you to participate in the 5 minute plank "countdown to
12:00" (Noon)... Who is up to the challenge??
A few reminders/notes before we get into the GFC roll call and what's going
on this week...
• Member Survey: We'd like to get your input... After an initial flurry of
responses, things have slowed down... If you have not already done so,
please take a few minutes to provide your input... In fact, why not do it

• 2022 Gators Registration: Registration for the club for 2022 remains
open... See the post under "Featured" (from December 8) for details and a
link.
• Winter Gator Fitness Challenge Registration: Post a comment if you are
"in" for the Monday, January 3 to Sunday, April 3 thirteen week winter
Gator Fitness Challenge and your name is not one of the following who are
already registered... Chris Acosta, Sarah Barkley, Don Mack, David Stone,
Chris Townsley, Rachel Truckley, and Beth Wysoczanski . We'll again
include the SBR Challenge (Swim/Bike/Run; 45 minutes of each per week) and
the SCF (Strength/Core/Flexibility; 45 minutes combined total per week) and
we may also bring back the Plank Challenge.
• Hat and Visor Pickup: First come, first serve, if you have not already
received your new Gators hat or visor, please catch up with Don Mack who
will be participating in the following workouts this week and will have the
hats and visors... Monday/TONIGHT's swim workout, Tuesday night spin
workout (just at the start), Thursday morning swim workout,
GFC Roll Call!... This week's Gator Fitness Challenge "Roll Call" covers
week 12 (December 20-26) that ended yesterday... This is the final week of
the fall GFC! If you completed any of the three challenges, please post a
comment...
• "SBR" if you completed the Swim/Bike/Run Challenge (30 minutes of each)
AND/OR...
• "SCF" if you completed the Strength/Core/Flexibility Challenge (30
minutes total of any combination) AND/OR...
• "Plank" if you completed the progressive Plank Challenge that started in
week 1 at 15 seconds then has increased 15 seconds each week and last
week's plank was 2 minutes and 45 seconds
• "All 3" if you were a week 11 superstar and completed all 3 challenges!
And, as mentioned above, this week is "5 Minute Plank Week"! Whether or not
you've been completing each week's progressive plank challenge or not...
Who is up for the 5 Minute Plank challenge?? You can do it on your own or
you can do it with us as part of our Friday 12/31, 11:55am-12:00pm Facebook

Spin/Strength workout coached by Logan Washburn
• Wednesday 12/29, 6pm: Run workout coached by Karen Dunn... Watch for an
"Event" coming soon!
• Wednesday 12/29, 7:30pm-8:30pm: Zwift cycling meetup... Join us for our
weekly club ride! This time we're riding a couple of laps of the 7.8 mile
"Lady Liberty" route in New York City!
