The Long Point Bird Observatory sightings board is updated to May 9.

Highlights for this period include: Eurasian Wigeon, Am. White Pelican,
Cattle Egret, Piping Plover, Willet, White-winged Dove, Vermillion
Flycatcher, Yellow-throated, Prairie and Prothonotary Warbler, and Summer
Tanager(s).
Prairie and Yellow-throated Warblers are being observed at the playground in
the 'New' Provincial Park this morning, and a female Prothonotary is in the
'Old' Provincial Park. There is an Acadian Flycatcher and White-eyed Vireo
in the Old Cut Woodlot.

To get to Long Point, follow the birds, or head south on Hwy 59 from the 401
until you hit the lake.
Visitors are always welcome at the Old Cut Research Station, and daily
