Bob,

A starter is pretty easy to DIY change.  Do we know what he needs?  Delco, etc?  If he can located the starter at a local auto store, Tow BoatUS will bring it to him as part of his towing insurance.  He can call around to find it, pay by CC, and he'll have it today.  Or if he can get to Fernandina or Brunswick, he can DIY tied up with shore power.  I, personally, do not particularly like Brunswick for mechanical stuff.  The marina charges outside mechanics to work on site, which adds to the cost of everything.  And, the marina has a poor reputation for mechanical services.

Yes, I have done this task myself under just these circumstances...  Except, single engine...
