[TWGL] Trip to Chicago

John,

You may want to rethink your plans to bring Dutch Treat to Chicago in May.
The New York Canal System does not open until early May, but that date can
slide if waters are high and all the locks can't be opened.  On top of that,
it is still cold at that time of year.  If possible, I would reschedule for
June.

Can the trip be made in one month.  Yes, but you will really have to push.
^From Annapolis to the Erie Canal, 7 days.  Erie Canal to Oswego 4 days.  1
day across Lake Ontario.  6 days on the Trent Severn.  6 days to the top of
Lake Huron.  Finally 6 days down Lake Michigan.  However this schedule does
not allow for delays for rough weather on Delaware Bay, Lake Ontario, The
Georgian Bay, North Channel or Lake Michigan.  Worse still you will miss all
the great stops.  If you can break it up into 2 30 day trips it would be a
lot better.  After all, you may not be coming this way any time soon.
